Tennis to me is more than just a sport. It has taught me so many lessons about life, and I’m so excited to have the opportunity to pass on my passion to you through Girls Tennis Academy. As a young girl learning tennis I developed incredible life skills, however I didn’t realize this until I was around 18yrs old.
It taught me about integrity, ethics, how to win, have dreams and goals and plan my future.
It taught me to look above me for inspiration, to never to give up and to love the discipline of practice to improve your skills. Tennis helped me to communicate, and develop self confidence and social skills. It gave me knowledge about fitness and strength and the importance of health.
I could play tennis with boys and men on an even playing field. I let my tennis do the talking….which gave me a lot of credibility. Boys and men gave me more respect because I could play tennis.
I want girls to know they can travel anywhere in the world and be able to visit the local tennis club, meet people, make friends and be in a safe environment….that is incredible. Girls need to have a social outlet to meet up with friends and hang out together and the tennis court is a really cool place to meet.
I believe in giving girls an opportunity to learn tennis. I believe in educating parents, uncles, aunties, tennis coaches and sports coaches WHY it’s important for girls to learn tennis. I believe that when the going gets tough you don’t give up and you can encourage them to keep going because you can see the bigger picture of the future.
My passion is to help girls become inspired about what they can do with their life and know there is so much to live for.
My purpose is to have more girls have a game in their life that gives them validation, and physical and mental strength. I want girls to know that there is beauty in strength, courage and love. I want girls to know its OK to use life force and energy and its OK to stand up and say “no”.

Tennis empowers girls, they just can’t lose by learning this sport.
These are the reasons I am passionate about girls learning tennis. This is why I have started Girls Tennis Academy.
